There are a multitude of benefits to eating healthily. You pack your body with tons of nutrients to boost the mind and body, in turn, helping it run at optimal capacity. You reap the benefits too, with great skin, a great figure and an alert mind. But, have you ever thought about eating in season? Seasonal food is often cheaper, more natural and, ultimately, tastier. Plus, you get to experience a wider collection of food overall if you follow the seasonal calendar. We wave goodbye to February (and winter, yay!) and welcome the new spring season. With fresh new food popping up at this time of year, there are plenty of excuses to enjoy a full and hearty diet this spring.
Check out my post, 8 foods that are in season now, that I’ve written for Mode, which offers some insight into how you can enjoy some of our most loved foods in the UK when they are at their fullest flavour. Also, follow the link for a great seasonal calendar that I have up on my fridge too, so that you can consult and follow the foods in season all year round.
Post includes recipes ideas for the following foods that are in season now:
- Purple Sprouting Broccoli
- Sweet Potatoes
- Brussels Sprouts
